Long Island, NY
Cook, Hall & Hyde, Inc., a leading regional
provider of commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits and risk
management services, recently announced that Melissa Apostle has joined the
agency as Director, Private Client Services within the personal insurance
division. In this capacity, Ms. Apostle will provide strategic insurance and
risk management advice to high-net worth individuals. She brings 20 years of
related experience to the job.
Directly prior to joining Cook, Hall & Hyde, Ms. Apostle was a premier
account specialist serving in the appraisal division of Chubb Insurance
Group (Uniondale, NY), where she was responsible for determining
reconstruction costs for homes across Long Island and identifying and
developing strategies to mitigate exposures to loss. Many of the homes she
appraised ranged from $10 to $45 million in value. The position brought her
in contact with area contractors, architects and designers, through which
she developed a keen understanding of the construction and insurance
industries.
Ms. Apostle began her career in the insurance field with Chubb as a senior
underwriter upon graduating from college in 1987. In this position, she
honed her skills in finance and marketing, cultivating relationships with
affluent clients and paving the way for her role as an appraiser and her
current position with Cook, Hall & Hyde.
Ms. Apostle holds a B.S. in business management from St. John's University.
Community-oriented, she is a member of the Cold Spring Civic Association and
is actively involved in the Huntington Tri-Village Little League. She
resides with her husband and their three children in Huntington, NY.
